50 Years of the Dinkie - 1922 to 1972
This is a reprint of wonderful book written by Andy Russell on the history of the Conway Stewart Dinkie pen.
The story begins in 1922, when the Dinkie pen became one of the first models produced entirely in Conway Stewart's Shoe Lane factory. Its design evolution is tracked over the next 50 years.
During this time, Dinkie pens were made from over 100 vibrant casein materials. An appendix provides swatches of these materials, each with a unique code to help collectors identify them and estimate their production period.
The book showcases over 250 full-size pen photos, 100 half-size pen sets, and more than 450 images in total, mostly in colour. It also features Conway Stewart Christmas leaflets and advertising from newspapers, magazines, and trade publications.
A “must have” book for any Conway Stewart collector.
This is a paperback reprint with a gloss laminated 350gsm cover with 130gsm silk finish pages.
